Synergy of Energy

My Dog Reincarnated as a Deer

On April 5th, 2018 it had been just months since we had to put our beloved dog, Skeeter, down. I had found Skeeter online 11 years earlier. The very second I saw his picture I knew there was something extraordinary about this one. We drove almost three hours to get him; my gut feeling was right. He turned out to be a magical animal and all the neighbors on the entire street loved him. Skeeter was part boxer and part border collie, and incredibly smart, with emotions like a human.

Boxers were bred to be very loyal, so we never needed a fence, even when he lost his mind and went on a wild chase after a deer — his favorite animal to chase down. One time after taking off after a buck he came back with a sizable cut on his ribs from being gored by the deer. One inch lower and he would have been dead. Another time he literally jumped on the back of a female deer with her two does. I had to run down our backyard while throwing water bottles at her, trying to stop her from stomping Skeeter. What a nut case this dog was.

And then there were the various times he was downtown, hanging out in the bars all night. He would also go stay at a neighbor’s house all day and go on all kinds of adventures. After 11 years of pure joy with my boy, a tumor in his right wrist had finally gotten the better of him. It was the most painful experience having to put my boy down. I can still feel the energies in my heart sink as I write this but I am not going to cry — I’m past that emotional instability.

As I was saying, it had only been a short time since he had transformed back into energy. And yes, dogs and cats have a soul like ours. Skeeter was in fact the reincarnation of our previous boxer, Poscha. Back to the story — it was just several months later. I drove out to my farm as I did pretty much every day.

This day I was driving on the lower gravel road. I had just passed the bee hives and they were blazing. I looked up and saw a small male deer coming towards me, like head-on. I hit my brakes and slowed to a stop. I rolled my window down and said: “What’s up, buddy?” Not expecting him to keep coming toward me, I got a little freaked out. He came right up to my window and I was like: “Ok there, good deer.”

I drove forward to park just in front of my orchard. I popped the hatch and I saw I still had Skeeter’s blanket in the back. I got out and made my way up into the orchard. I looked back down and saw that this deer was now basically sniffing Skeeter’s blanket and had his whole head in my car. I let out a “Hey, what’s up?” He turned and looked at me and came running up to the outside of the orchard fence. Again I was like what’s up.

I walked over to him, and he stuck his nose through the fence and that’s when I saw something very familiar in the eyes of this deer. This somehow, some way was my dog Skeeter. He had reincarnated into this deer– the animal he would chase was now the host for his reincarnation. I could see him clearly in the eyes. I walked right up and started petting him on his head. OMG Skeeter i missed you so much boy. I offered him some fruit but he declined. We just stood there, looking into each other’s eyes and I was filled with joy and love.

After a few minutes, a nasty black fly landed on the deer. He jumped back and started to run. I yelled out: “Skeeter!” He stopped, turned his head back, and licked his lips exactly like Skeeter used to do. This is just one of many mystic experiences I have had.
